OPOPO and Astres for revenge, Union to frustrate Canon. Complete Day 14 previews and predictions
The MTN Elite one gets under way this Friday with games country for match day 14. Our team takes a look at the games and possible outcomes.

FOVU vs Fauve Azur

In the first round, FOVU dispatched Fauve Azur in a comfortable 3#0 victory leading from the first half. Though Fauve Azur defeated title contenders Coton Sport back to back, their strick may be frustrated by a FOVU side that were beaten in match day 13. Fauve Azur have never drawn nor defeated fovu of Baham on away turf.

Prediction: FOVU to win

  Apejes vs Victoria United

The first leg of this game didn't play because Victoria United was absent after losing to Fovu. The homologation committee awarded the 3 points to Apejes and further deducted 3more points from Victoria United. This is the time for Victoria United to revenge against Apejes who have not won any game on the pitch. Both sides have never met before but a careful consideration of the squads keeps Victoria United ahead.

Prediction: Victoria United to win

Bamboutos vs Dynamo

Bamboutos is poised to harvest the second time from Dynamo. The Mangwa Boys defeated Bon Ba Djob in the first round 2#1 with Dynamo standing tall with a powerful squad. The story has however changed this time adding more scars to Dynamo of Douala. The team has been without solid defense man, Thomas Etta Bawak who picked an injury in November 2023. Since beating Canon 2#1 in November, the Douala side has not scored more than one goal in the same game. With Leonel Ateba on national team duty, Dynamo is found wanting and may pay the price when they face Bamboutos in Mbouda.

Prediction: Bamboutos to win

  Astres vs Colombe

The Brazilians of Bepanda will play host to Colombe of Sangmalima with enthusiasm to view success. The first win of Colombe this season came against Astres when they came from behind to win 2#1. The recent form of Colombe has however not been positive as they have won only one of their last five games in Elite one.

Prediction: Astres to win or draw

  YOSA vs Stade Renard

This is one of the encounters that can pass for top match given the stakes. YOSA have won all of their four previous games while Renard have had only one draw and three losses in their last four outings. While YOSA pose for a continuation of fine form, Renard is bent on returning to winning ways. Since 2019, YOSA has not won against Stade Renard.

Prediction: Stade Renard to win or draw

  Gazelle vs Aigle

Aigle Royal have not won in Garoua and are quite aware of the dunting task they are getting into. Despite having a scintillating display in their past games, their smile could be put to a stop by Gazelle FA.

Prediction: Gazelle to win or draw

Union vs Canon

Union Douala were white washed last weekend in Bafoussam by Aigle Royal 4#1 but have gone back to the drawing board to write their wrongs. Canon have had a good ride recently but playing against a new and experience coach Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso is a point to consider.

Prediction: Under 2.5 goals
