Tawamba gets a debut to remember at Al-Akhdood

By Mangek Promise

Barely hours after signing for Saudi Arabian side Al Akhdood Club, Cameroon's striker Leandre Kana Tawamba has already appeared in the scored sheet. The striker scored the lone goal in their 1#0 win against Al Riyadh which gave them the first win of the season after games.

The second half goal for Tawamba was also a dexterous one as Al Akhdood had occupied the bottom 18th spot of the table before his arrival.

The victory moved them from the dangerous zoon to the 12th spot. Fans and teammates of Al Akhdood expressed satisfaction after his scintillating performance as they are poised to receive more from the former Aigle Royal Menoua player.

This is another goal account opened by the Cameroonian in Saudi Arabia after stamping 82 goals in 152 appearances for Al Taawoun before moving to his new club. A movement that occured just one day before his gift to Al Akhdood.

Tawamba now has a more challenging task to put up a similar performance when they face Al Ittihad on September 14.
