Ita Mbong FC of Nkambe have qualified for the 4th edition of Guinness Super League after beating Cyclone FC of Douala 3#2. Â
The game started in smooth run with both sides looking forward to emerging victorious. Both goalkeepers were virtually on holiday for the first 25 minutes as there was no shot on target registered. Â
A 31st minute one on one situation presented itself to Destiny Ade Precious of Ita Mbong who beautifully dribbled passed goalkeeper Guilaine Kamdem to out Ita Mbong on 1#0. Â
The match would then play low till the 40th minute where Precious completed her first half brace by surprising the goalkeeper from out of the box. A 45 minute opportunity presented itself to Gladys Barbert from a scintillating cross by Victoire Todou but the shot went wide.

Upon recess for the second half, coach Yuntube Ernest of Cyclone replaced Kaljob Catherine and Ange Akum with Damaris Ivana and Nathalia Nsom respectively. A substitution that produced lots of fireworks from the Douala side and yielded fruits at the 49th minute with a penalty against Ita Mbong. The converted penalty gave a reduction of tally for Cyclone.
Woman to woman passes and technical changes from Cyclone FC looked productive as tremendous clarity found ponderous vacance at the defense of Ita Mbong. Ernestine Djanga played fast on the loose ball to level score at 2#2. The 80th minute was Clyclone's turn to vent frustration of a penalty awarded to Ita Mbong due to a clip on Newu Chiamba in the box. Shey Blessing stepped up and restored Ita Mbong's lead from the spot.
The Douala based side then struggled to gain smile but their aspirations ended in a fiasco as the 90 minute sound proclaimed celebration for Ita Mbong.
Ita Mbong had earlier on missed out on qualifying as their venture always ended at this stage.
