NWRFL: Hilltop Dumped Out, Bang Bullet and Bafmeng to Decide Champions

The 2022 champions of the Northwest Regional Football League, Hilltop Strikers have been eliminated from the race. Hilltop Strikers lost by 1-4 goals on aggregate to Bang Bullet of Nkambe in the semi-finals to crash out of the league. The boys from Bamendakwe had earlier missed their opportunity when they went down by 0-3 in the away leg of the semi-finals before pulling a one all tie on Wednesday June 5, 2023.

 

In the other Semi-finals, Bafmeng United beat Tubah FC 1-3 tie. Bafmeng United sail through on a similar 4-1  aggregate scoreline. The finals will be played on Sunday July 9, 2023 between Bang Bullet, a former champion of the region and Elite Two team and Bafmeng United who are searching for their first regional league title.

 

The winner of the league would move on to represent the Northwest Region in the National competition, grouping all 10 regional champions to compete for two available tickets into  Elite Two championship. The tournament fondly call the Interpools comes up in Yaoundé as from July 15 to 23, 2023.

 

So far only the South, Adamawa and Far North know their respective champions.
