Anye Nde Nsoh, a Bamenda based sports reporter has died from a gun shot wound to the chest. Anye, a native of Mankon received a bullet to his chest at the Che Street neighbourhood in Ntarikon. It’s not clear whether he was targeted or hit by a stray bullet.
Details about the circumstances leading to his death are still very sketchy. The was sporadic gun firing at Che Street on Sunday evening between 8 and 10 pm. Its not also clear whether it was between armed gun men and the forces of law and order or whether by arm men only. His copse is presently at the Bamenda Regional Hospital mortuary.
Anye Nde Nsoh was the NW correspondent for the Advocate Newspaper and a sports presenter over Dream FM Radio in Bamenda. He also doubled as the Press Officer for the National Amputee Federation. Anye Nde Nsoh started his career in journalism at City FM Radio where he was the main sports reporter from 2017 to 2020. Anye Nde Nsoh was also a regular contributor for Rush Sports News under the pseudo name Fabrice Tony.
He recently picked up a job with a reputable financial institution in Bamenda and was due to start work there this month.
